Northern Virginia Chamber, PSC Announce 2016 Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ Winners

Tysons, Va. – The Professional Services Council (PSC) and Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (Northern Virginia Chamber) are pleased to announce the winners of the 14th Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™, the premier awards program honoring the leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence of the individuals and businesses in the region's government contracting sector.
“For the past 14 years, the Chamber has been honored to partner with PSC to present these prestigious awards,” said Northern Virginia Chamber President and CEO Jim Corcoran. “We are proud to recognize such outstanding companies and executives as they are emblematic of the best of the private sector. We applaud each of the winners for their contributions to the government contracting sector and commitment to employees and our region.”
“Each of the finalists and winners tonight collectively emphasize the quality of the federal contracting industry,” said PSC President and CEO David Berteau. “We are pleased once again to celebrate the deep expertise, community involvement, and drive that is required to excel in this market.”
In addition, as announced in September, Donna Morea, Former President, CGI Technologies and Solutions was honored as the first woman to be inducted into the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ Hall of Fame for her extraordinary contributions to the industry and Frank Kendall III, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, U.S. Department of Defense was recognized as the 2016 Public Sector Partner of the Year. The 2016 GovCon Charity Partner was Warriors Ethos.
Four Contractor of the Year awards and three Executive of the Year awards were presented. The 2016 Program of the Year was chosen from a large number of successful programs among the finalists from all four Contractor of the Year categories. The winner was recommended by the judges through a combination of mission achievement, financial success and customer recognition.
