DESCRIPTION
PSC's Contracting Working Group, as part of its Acquisition and Business Policy Council, is intended to develop with PSC members advocacy and information to support better acquisition and business policy across the government. The group's intent is to also serve as a candid forum providing avenues for better government-industry communication. PSC's September 18 Contracting Working Group will feature the General Services Administration's Jonathan Evans, Program Specialist for the Federal Acquisition Service, who will discuss GSA's Civilian Services Acquisition Workshop (CSAW), which provide facilitated requirements development workshops built around a specific acquisition and multi-functional integrated project teams. The format will allow Mr. Evans a half hour to present GSA's information, followed by another half-hour for question-answers from members. Sebastian Herrick serves as Director, Procurement Policy, where he provides cross-association support for the Professional Services Council and its member organizations.  Sebastian was previously Policy and Program Analyst for the Government Relations department of AECOM, a leading engineering and infrastructure firm. Prior to AECOM, Sebastian served as Chief Analyst for ASC Echo, a boutique political and media data firm in the Washington, D.C. area. Sebastian interned for two congressional offices and graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. He is proudly from Golden, Colorado.

ABOUT ABPC
The Acquisition and Business Policy Council is the principal body for developing PSC’s positions and taking action on cross-cutting, major acquisition policy issues. Its focus encompasses wide-ranging issues such as multiple award and schedules contracts, the role of contractors, federal acquisition workforce development, commerciality, contract type and competitiveness, requirements development and evaluation strategies, alternative acquisition models, internal and external communication, and industrial base health and competition. The Acquisition and Business Policy Council fosters formal and informal partnerships with policymakers and allied stakeholders, and works toward an outcome-oriented federal services acquisition process through regular meetings, timely programs, and various other avenues.
