PSC Statement on GSA AI Clause Comments

The Professional Services Council issued the following statements after submitting comments to GSA on the revised “Basic Safeguarding of Data within Large Language Model Artificial Intelligence Systems” GSAR clause.

"GSA listened, and it shows — this revised clause reflects real engagement with industry and a deep understanding of the issues that we presented alongside our members. Narrowing the license grant, protecting contractor IP ownership of underlying models, and moving to a risk-based approach on foreign ownership are meaningful improvements. We want to keep building on that progress so the final clause protects government data without slowing federal agencies' access to the best commercial AI tools,” said Jim Carroll, PSC CEO.
