The Professional Services Council Mourns the Passing of Congressman Gerry Connolly
Arlington, Va. (May 21, 2025) -- The Professional Services Council (PSC) today expressed deep sorrow following the passing of U.S. Representative Gerry Connolly. Congressman Connolly, who had served Virginia’s 11th Congressional District since 2009, was widely recognized as a tireless advocate for good governance, the federal workforce, and the contracting community that supports critical government missions.
“On behalf of our member companies and staff, PSC expresses deep sadness about the passing of Representative Gerry Connolly, a longtime supporter and friend to the entire federal contracting community,” said PSC CEO Jim Carroll.
Throughout his career, Congressman Connolly had been a vocal and effective representative, a tireless advocate for an efficient and effective federal government, and a leading champion of the federal workforce—whether in the U.S. armed forces, civil service, or the companies that support federal missions. He served as the Ranking Member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and was a longtime member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. His commitment to his constituents and the broader American public was truly admirable.
Jim Carroll added “We are grateful for Congressman Connolly’s dedication to public service and offer our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.”
