Members of Congress Visit CIDC Capitol Hill Event

Once again our #CIDContheHill event set new standards of excellence thanks to the advance preparation and engagement of our 16 participating members. 


   
Participants started the day with a closed-door meeting with House Foreign Affairs Committee member Congressman Ami Bera who addressed issues related to China’s ever-growing presence and concerns over funding pressures on the 150 Account.  Our well-staffed tables then found themselves inundated with congressional staff eager to learn more about CIDC projects and activities. 

      
 Lengthy drop-bys with Representatives Gerry Connolly, Don Beyer and Jamie Raskin allowed them to hear first-hand work their constituents are engaged in.  HFAC Chairman Eliot Engel also spent considerable time in discussion with participants in between the two hearings he was running that day. 

Very positive feedback from congressional staff and excellent suggestions from our members means we can look forward to an even better event next year.  Thanks again to those companies who participated. Check out all the photos from the event here.
