Melissa Phillips, CMP

Director, Operations

Melissa joined the Professional Services Council before calendars lived online—when scheduling a meeting meant chasing people down with a pen and a printed agenda. Since then, she’s held a range of roles including Office Manager, Director of Events, HR lead, and now serves as Director of Operations.

She’s helped guide PSC through office moves, leadership transitions, and organizational growth, all while building systems that support a collaborative and efficient workplace. With over two decades of experience, she remains a go-to resource for staff across departments.

Of all the roles she’s held at PSC, Melissa’s favorite is her current blend of HR, operations, and executive support—a combination that allows her to support others and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. She finds real satisfaction in helping people do their best work, solving problems quietly, and making sure everything runs just a bit more efficiently (preferably with snacks involved).

Melissa is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. Outside of work, she loves traveling, home cooking, and spending time with her two dogs. She’s also deep into a vegetable gardening phase and may have planted enough tomatoes to feed a small village.
