The Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ honors the leaders and legends of the government contracting community. A prestigious panel of industry and government professionals select finalists and winners from a large pool of nominees. 

Presented by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Services Council (PSC), the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ winners are announced at an evening gala, which has been dubbed the "Academy Awards of Government Contracting." This unique networking event draws more than 1,000 industry and government leaders. 

The award categories include: Contractor of the Year in four revenue categories, Executive of the Year in three revenue categories, and one Program of the Year. In addition, an outstanding leader from the government contracting sector is inducted into the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards Hall of Fame in honor of his or her tremendous lifetime achievements and one individual is selected as the Public Sector Partner of the Year.

Award winners are announced at the gala in November.

Awards Categories

Contractor of the Year
This award is presented to a government contractor in the Greater Washington-area for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments. The award has been divided into four different revenue categories and is selected in recognition of distinguished financial and operational accomplishments and outstanding contributions during the past year to employees, the government contracting industry, and the U.S. Government. 

• Contractor of the Year (up to $25 million)
• Contractor of the Year ($25 to $75 million)
• Contractor of the Year ($75 to $300 million)
• Contractor of the Year (greater than $300 million)

Executive of the Year
This award is presented a Greater Washington-area government contracting C-level executive who made outstanding contributions to his/her company, the community and the government contracting industry during the past year. Three awards will be presented in this category, stratified by gross annual revenue using the most recent fiscal year-end revenues.

• Executive of the Year ($75 to $300 million)
• Executive of the Year (greater than $300 million)

Hall of Fame Honoree
The Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ Hall of Fame inducts one honoree each year for unparalleled professional excellence and life-long contributions to the community and the government contracting industry. The Hall of Fame honoree is nominated and chosen by the Selection Committee.

Public Sector Partner the Year
Presented to a Federal government procurement professional who has demonstrated unusual leadership and vision in building a spirit of partnership with the private sector and/or leading change in the procurement community.

Program of the Year
Presented to a government contractor in the Greater Washington Area for an exemplary contracted program as described within Contractor of the Year application. In order to be considered for this award, you must apply for Contractor of the Year in one of the four revenue categories. The winner is recommended by the Selection Committee through a combination of mission achievement, financial success, and customer recognition.

Criteria

Contractor of the Year
Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria: 

• Be headquartered in the Greater Washington, DC region defined as south of Baltimore, north of Richmond, from the Chesapeake to the Shenandoah;
• Have more than 50 percent of employees in the Greater Washington, DC region; or 
• Have at least 1,000 or more employees in the Greater Washington, DC region 

Executive of the Year
Applicants must meet BOTH of the following criteria:

• Be a C-level executive of a government contracting company; and
• Reside in the Greater Washington, DC region

	Anne Altman Co-Founder and CEO of Everyone Matters, Inc. Anne Altman is Co-Founder and CEO of Everyone Matters, Inc., a social impact enterprise founded in 2017 dedicated to ensuring that everyone has equal access to citizen- based services, healthcare and education. Anne is an experienced and respected Corporate Director serving on numerous public and private boards. She is Board Chair of Siemens Government Technologies, Inc.; Board Vice Chair of Maximus, Inc.; and independent director of Techflow, Inc., Knightswan Acquisition Corp., and Gunnison Consulting, Inc. She also serves as special advisor to Craft, Inc. Her committee responsibilities include Nominating and Governance, Technology, Compensation and Audit. Additionally, Anne also serves on the boards of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, The National Symphony Orchestra, The George Mason University Leadership Council, The George Mason University School of Business Advisory Council and the GMU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
	Ellen Glover Former Executive Vice President, ICF Ellen Glover joined ICF in 2005 and has more than 30 years of experience in the technology market. At ICF, she leads an organization that provides services to government and commercial clients in technology, digital interactive, strategic communications, cybersecurity, program management, and organizational research and learning. Previously, Ellen held executive positions at Advanced Technology Systems, Impact Innovations Group, and Dynamics Research Corporation.
	Deepak Hathiramani Founding Partner and Executive Chairman of SteeleHarbour Deepak Hathiramani is a Founding Partner and Executive Chairman of SteeleHarbour. Working with the CEO, Mr. Hathiramani serves as a trusted advisor to help execute the firm’s vision, strategic plan and corporate governance initiatives. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Hathi Partners LLC, a family office investment firm focused on alternative investments including private equity and venture capital. Mr. Hathiramani is also the founder of Vistronix Intelligence and Technology Solutions, a national security solutions provider, until its acquisition by Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) Federal Holding Company. Mr. Hathiramani served as the Chairman, CEO and president of Vistronix and was a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.
	Tim Keenan CEO, Keenan & Associates Tim is the CEO of Keenan & Associates. Keenan & Associates is a firm focused on assisting small to mid-sized firms in the strategic planning and tactical execution to move their firms to the next level of performance. Prior to this, Tim co-founded and operated HPTi for nearly 20 years until its' successful sale to DRC in June of 2011. He has also served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University and Georgetown University in management and entrepreneurship.
	Charito Kruvant Founder & Chairperson of the Board, Creative Associates International M. Charito Kruvant is Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Creative Associates International. Under Charito’s four decades of leadership, Creative has grown to become a leading implementer to international agencies including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of State, European governments and The World Bank, among others. Charito has served on numerous Boards, including: The Donors of Color Network, a philanthropic and political outlet for high-net worth donors committed to building power for people of color; the Acacia Federal Savings Bank; the Calvert Funds for socially responsible investing; the Summit Fund of Washington; and on the executive and grants committees of the Venture Philanthropy Partners, an organization that invests in change-makers to find holistic solutions for the 580,000 vulnerable children and youth in Greater Washington, D.C.
	David H. Langstaff Senior Advisor to the President & SEO, The Aspen Institute David has served as the Executive Vice President for Leadership and Seminars at The Aspen Institute for over 20 years. Previously, Mr. Langstaff served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of TASC, Inc. He was named President & CEO and served in that capacity from March 2011 through November 2013. Previously, Mr. Langstaff was Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer and Director of Veridian Corporation from its formation in 1997 until its sale to General Dynamics in August 2003. Veridian was an advanced technology company that specialized in mission-critical national security programs primarily for the U.S. Government.
	Donna Morea Former President, CGI Technologies and Solutions Donna Morea is a highly accomplished executive and board director who is nationally recognized in the IT software and services and private equity communities. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at SAIC and as the Chair of the Technology Committee at Truist as well as on private corporate and not-for profit boards. With over thirty five years of operating experience, she has deep and vast experience building large scale IT practices that focus on strategic, enterprise-wide solutions for large scale organizations. In December 2011, Donna retired from a successful 31-year career at American Management Systems (AMS) and CGI Group, which acquired AMS in 2004. As President of CGI Technologies and Solutions, she led CGI’s IT and business process services in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
	Peggy Styer Managing Partner, Razor's Edge Ventures Peggy is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Razor’s Edge Ventures. Peggy focuses on investments in growth stage technology companies and technology-enabled national security companies.  In the last five years, Peggy's portfolio of companies has yielded over $1 billion in shareholder returns.  Before founding Razor's with her partners, Peggy co-founded and was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Blackbird Technologies (acquired by Raytheon) and co-founder of RavenWing (acquired by Boeing).
