Government Affairs Committee Meeting

Government Affairs Committee Meeting

DESCRIPTION
Effective Oct. 1 2019, the Department of Defense assumed responsibility for all security clearance background investigations. In October, we will mark the two-year anniversary of the establishment of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, which now oversees personnel security and vetting, industrial security and clearance, and critical technology protection. Join PSC for our next Government Affairs Committee meeting where our speaker, Jon Eskelsen, DCSA’s Chief of Communications and Congressional Affairs, will provide an update on what DCSA has accomplished and where the agency is headed.

DESCRIPTION

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) meets the first Friday of every month and is often referred to as “the best information exchange in town.” Each meeting features a special government guest discussing, on a non-attribution basis, one or more critical legislative, regulatory, or other policy issues. The second half of each meeting is the information exchange, where up-to-date information and materials on relevant issues and recent policy developments are disseminated and discussed.
