Rockville, MD (May 21, 2026) The Professional Services Council (PSC) held its 10th FedHealth Conference today, bringing together senior government and industry executives to examine the most pressing technology, acquisition, and workforce challenges facing federal health agencies. The half-day event took place at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Rockville, Maryland.

The conference featured Dr. Alfred C. Johnson, National Institutes of Health Deputy Director for Management and Chief Financial Officer alongside officials from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the Defense Health Agency, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Administration for Children and Families.

“As federal health agencies face unprecedented pressure to respond to emerging issues in real time, manage constrained budgets, and deliver measurable outcomes, the need for effective government-industry partnership has never been greater,” said Jim Carroll, CEO of the Professional Services Council. "The 10th FedHealth Conference demonstrated the depth of commitment both government and industry bring to solving the hardest problems in federal health IT."

"From readiness to AI implementation to acquisition reform, the conversations that happened today reflect exactly why government and industry partnerships matters," said Stephanie Kostro, President of the Professional Services Council.

As the United States confronts emerging global public health threats, including the spread of viruses like Ebola and hantavirus, the federal health contracting workforce stands prepared, trained, and with capacity to surge. PSC and its member companies are committed to maintaining that readiness — so that when federal health agencies need to move fast, the private sector is ready to move with them.
