On November 2, 2022, NASA published a class deviation  on implementation of Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Reflecting guidance from the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force, NASA guidance to contracting officers is to: (1) NOT enforce the relevant contract clause re: COVID safety protocols in existing contracts; (2) NOT pursue efforts to include the clause in existing contracts that do not currently include it; and (3) NOT insert the clause into new contracts.
