A Values Based WOSB Dedicated to Supporting Veterans and Their Families

Standard Technology, Inc. (STI) is an SBA certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and values-based organization focused on and dedicated to honoring and serving our Nation’s Veterans. STI has supported the Department of Defense (DoD) Military Health System (MHS) and healthcare facilities across the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) for 37 years with various products and services. STI is extremely proud to serve our Veterans through hiring practices, policies, charitable contributions, and prioritizing Veterans and their families.
Hiring Veterans
The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), establishes the annual Veterans Hiring Benchmark. For 2023, the benchmark is 5.3%. Each year STI far exceeds the protected veterans hiring benchmark and is currently achieving more than 800% of the OFCCP benchmark. Today, Veterans make up 45% of STI’s workforce. STI’s dedication to supporting Veterans’ family members includes hiring 10 Veterans’ spouses in the past 3 years alone.
Supporting the National Guard and Reserves
The State of Maryland and Commonwealth of Virginia recognized STI for our contributions to the Veterans Community. STI received the Pro Patria Award, the highest state-level award conferred on employers by the state committee of Maryland, for our support to Veterans by demonstrating exceptional support by adopting personnel policies that make it easier for our Veterans to continue serving in the National Guard or Reserve. The Commonwealth of Virginia recognized STI with the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program certification for completing and sustaining all requirements for the V3 Program and for STI’s commitment to recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining Virginia's Veterans and serving members of the National Guard and Reserve.
Giving Back
STI is a values-based organization that focuses on “Giving Back.” We support charitable causes and contribute to the welfare of the local community. In all areas, we strive to be a national example of good corporate citizenship. Our value, to Give Back, includes making charitable donations to Veteran’s Support Organizations. In 2023 alone, STI donated to the Fisher House Foundation, the Fort Hood Military Family Member Scholarship Fund, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. On 9/11/2023, the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMX) Auxiliary, hosted a charitable golf tournament in honor of our Veterans and recognized STI as a ‘Wingman Sponsor” for our contributions to the event.

STI has always been and always will be an organization dedicated to serving Veterans and their Families through products, services, sponsorship, charitable donations, and in our hiring practices as a steadfast example of how a good corporate citizen can give back to the dedicated men and women who selflessly serve our Country and the families that support them.
