Veterans are an Integral Part of the Team

Whether it’s supporting the first crewed mission beyond low Earth orbit since 1972, building facilities for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals or semiconductors, reinforcing national security including mission-critical solutions across the defense and intelligence communities, or ensuring we have access to natural resources such as water and energy into the future, at Jacobs, we’re focused on working with our clients to create a more connected, sustainable world.

Central to our success are the government clients we work with and the veterans who serve as an integral part of the Jacobs team. We have a thriving employee network, VetNet, with more than 2,000 members around the globe that advocates for military hiring and supports programs to help veterans transition to the civilian workplace at Jacobs.

One program, Project Soft Landing, engages with those still serving in the armed forces – and provides a path to a relevant career like project management, integrated logistics, systems engineering or cybersecurity. We also accelerate veteran hiring through initiatives like the Armed Forces Covenant and Career Transition Partnership in the U.K., and DOD SkillBridge and Hiring our Heroes in the U.S. Additionally, we have a Jacobs Military Spouse program to help those whose own careers might have been disrupted by deployments find their way back into the workforce as well.

Supporting those who have given so much is important to us at Jacobs as well as our CEO Bob Pragada, a naval academy graduate and former U.S. Navy Lt. Commander.
