PSC Comments on Proposed Rule re: Overtime Protections  
On November 7, 2023, PSC submitted comments on a Department of Labor proposed rule to revise regulations on exemptions from minimum wage and overtime pay for certain employees (e.g., raising the salary threshold for allowing overtime pay from $35,568 annually to $55,068). PSC emphasized that this rule did not consider cost or performance impacts on government contractors and recommended significant changes to the Department's approach. White House Issues EO on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of AI 

On October 30, 2023, the White House issued an Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. PSC Comments on ONCD Cybersecurity Regulatory Harmonization 

On October 31, 2023, PSC submitted comments to the Office of the National Cyber Director on existing challenges with regulatory overlap and on a reciprocity framework in which regulators could accept each other’s recognition of compliance with baseline requirements. PSC provided general recommendations, as well as specific insights into: conflicting, mutually exclusive, or inconsistent regulations; use of existing standards or frameworks; and cloud and other service providers. Reminder: New Member Dues Structure in 2024 

A special Membership Dues Structure Committee assessed the regular member dues structure and recommended changes to address changes in the nature of our industry and the size and breadth of our member companies, and those recommendations were unanimously approved by the Board. This change will take effect for all member dues with payment dates on or after January 1, 2024. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact membership@pscouncil.org.
