Tech Council Digital Services Project Launch
The Digital Services Working Group will hold its first meeting on Friday, May 27th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Professional Services Council offices (4401 Wilson Blvd., Suite 1110, Arlington, VA 22203). Dial in capability will be provided for those unable to attend in person.
The Digital Services Working Group, co-chaired by Tom Greiner (Accenture) and Chris Smith (AT&T), will evaluate current federal digital services implementations with the goal of highlighting what’s working (and not) and offering recommendations on how to maximize the effectiveness of digital services efforts. Some of the topics to be looked at will be the importance of government buyers becoming more savvy about contracting for digital services, when in the process is the best time for a digital services team to become engaged, when work is best performed by the private sector (as opposed to in-house development efforts). With the plethora of on-going digital services work (US Digital Services, agency digital services teams, GSA 18F, DoD and DHS Silicon Valley shops, etc.) this will be a great opportunity for you to add your voice to our recommendations for the next Administration on this important topic.
